- Diamond talents - imagine new possibilities.
- Club talents - champion new ideas.
- Heart talents - encourage buy-in and commitment
- Spade talents - make sure projects are completed.
Here's a description of the four talent types.
Identify your talent and see where you add value.
Diamond Talents
Individuals with Diamond Talents think outside the box. Diamonds are good at spotting trends, creating innovative solutions and generating ideas for new products and services.
Individuals with Diamond Talents think about ‘what's possible.' What looks impossible to our eyes becomes a competitive advantage in their minds.
Individuals with Diamond Talents like to synthesize ideas, develop theories, research information and design innovative solutions. The Diamonds Talent challenges the status quo.
Without Diamond talents, an organization misses windows of opportunities, fails to
recognize emerging needs or create innovative solutions.
Spade Talents
Spade Talents manage and improve existing processes and systems. They like to "dig in" and get things done. Their practical actions and solutions transform visions into reality.
Spade talents are the backbone of successful implementation. Individuals with Spade talents like to manage run and improve core processes and systems. They remove barriers to performance, organize what needs to be done and ensure project completion. With their persistent efforts and attention to details, reliable structures are put in place to manage performance and produce results.
Without the tireless attention of Spade Talents, time and money is wasted and new ideas never become a reality.
Heart Talents
Heart talents focus on people and relationships. Individuals with Heart talents are experts at listening, communicating and facilitating teamwork. Heart talents help people work together. They inspire others and communicate new ideas. They have a keen ability to sense people's needs and use their persuasive skills to get to the heart of the matter.
Heart talents know when relationships are tense and headed towards conflict. They are excellent communicators and like to build trust and promote teamwork. They often use their heart energy to teach, coach and express appreciation.
Without Heart talents, employee morale is low and implementation efforts stall. New initiatives lack enthusiasm and spirit essential to success.
Club Talents
It takes Club talents to bring about change. Club Talents like to launch new initiatives and put structures in place to support them. Club talents champion initiatives, make tough decisions, search for resources, build alliances and risk failure to bring new ideas into reality. Individuals with Club Talents envision a brighter tomorrow and advocate for new visions.
Without Club talents, an organization falters for lack of vision, direction and focus. The status quo is accepted, others become complacent and great ideas fall by the wayside.
Without Club talents, new ideas aren't championed and initiatives falter and die.
To succeed, an organization needs all four talents. All talents type exist at every level in the organization. Recognize and leverage your best talent and watch your career and results soar.
